Some Kiss We Want ~ Rumi

Originally uploaded by LukeOlsen

There is some kiss we want with our whole lives, the touch of spirit on the body. Seawater

begs the pearl to break its shell. And the lilly, how passionately it needs some wild darling! At

night, I open the window and ask
the moon to come and press its face against mine. Breath into

me. Close the language-door and open the love-window. The moon won’t use the door, only the window.

That Moon Language ~ Hafiz

Admit something:

Everyone you see, you say to them, “Love me.”

Of course you do not do this out loud, otherwise someone would call the cops.

Still, though, think about this, this great pull in us to connect.

Why not become the one who lives with a full moon in each eye

that is always saying,

with that sweet moon language,

what every other eye in this world is dying to hear?

At the Twilight ~ Rumi

Originally uploaded by Kcline78

At the twilight, a moon appeared in the sky;
Then it landed on earth to look at me.

Like a hawk stealing a bird at the time of prey;
That moon stole me and rushed back into the sky.

I looked at myself, I did not see me anymore;
For in that moon, my body turned as fine as soul.

The nine spheres disappeared in that moon;
The ship of my existence drowned in that sea.

~~~Excerpt from wonderful post about Rumi from Soul Lab:
Did you know that Sufi mystical poet Rumi (born in 1207) has been the best-selling poet in the U.S. for the last ten years? Born in the area now known as Afghanistan, he is well known for founding the Mevlevi Order, better known as the Whirling Dervishes of Sufism. His poetry remains extraordinarily relevant, communicating a powerful emphasis on the potential of human love and consciousness………..If you are a fan, Four Seasons Productions has produced a series of stunning videos highlighting space and the natural world, along with music as the backdrop to Rumi’s poetry. Everywhere Is Falling Everywhere ~ Rumi
Last night the moon came dropping its clothes in the street.
I took it as a sign to start singing,
falling up into the bowl of sky.
The bowl breaks. Everywhere is falling everywhere.
Nothing else to do.
Here’s the new rule: break the wineglass,
and fall toward the glassblower’s breath.
