Activity vs Action

UnknownMind always thinks in terms of purpose, profit, utility. When mind disappears, action does not disappear, activity disappears –and there is a great difference between the two. Activity has utility; action is pure joy, pure beauty. You act not because something has to be achieved; you act because action is a dance, is a song. You act because you are so full of energy ~Osho

Two Kinds of Eyes

Goggle Images

@Google Images

In all of your endeavors, particularly your business,

use your physical set of eyes, as well as your spiritual, inward set of eyes.

With your physical eyes you see the material world and act accordingly, based on what you see. Typically, this is the set of eyes we use when we plan and take actions in our business.

But, as we know, there is more to life than the material, external world.

With your spiritual eyes, you see beyond external appearances. Instead of allowing appearances to determine what you think is real and reacting to it, you can decide what is beyond the appearance and calmly continue to invoke what you choose.

A meditative practice, applied to your business, enables you to routinely turn your gaze and focus inward, thus stopping reactive thinking. Tapping into inner resources that allow you to to respond to external events with a powerful integration of both your external and internal set of eyes, gives you more awareness and clarity, and hence, changes the business results that you deliver over time.

Every time you choose to act from a balanced perspective of both material and spiritual, every time you invoke rather than react, you get closer and closer to the real you and the real world.

Commit to “being here now” as Eckhart Tolle teaches. Look compassionately and calmly on all rising conditions and situations, whether of a global nature or a personal level. Face them as if they are presenting themselves to you for some much needed transformation. Put on your spiritual courage and do not turn away from what presents itself.

Learn to discern between what is and what only appears to be.

As you align more and more with the real you and the real world, this higher reality will permeate and expand all aspects of your business, your life, and the world around you.

3 Energy Clearing Tips for the New Year

I recently had the opportunity to facilitate an Energy Patch Ceremony (EPC) with a client (an hour-long ceremony based on James Endredy’s work, found in his book Beyond 2012).

Fundamentally, the EPC is about creating an energy patch for everything that drains you and/or takes away your attention. The energy patch allows you to focus on the business at hand, while at the same time organizes you towards eliminating energy drains in perfect timing on the physical plane.

The New Year represents not only a time to embrace our ideals and aspirations for the future, it is a time to let go of old energies which may be lingering to make way for the new. The start of a New Year presents an opportunity to turn our attention to the energetic remnants lingering from the past for a fresh start of the new year.

The following 3 tips (excerpted from Christan Hummel’s best-selling book, the Do It Yourself Space Clearing Kit) will empower you to sweep out the old and make way for the new:

1.  Ceremony : Ceremony is a time when we honor life, the seasons, and those aspects of living beyond the physical. It brings us in touch with the worlds beyond our everyday, and reminds us of a vastness of Life beyond our immediate attention. Make time for ceremony in your life and you will open a doorway into another dimension beyond this one allowing fresh new ideas, inspiration and energies to flow into your business.

It could be a simple ceremony like a ribbon-cutting ceremony to initiate new energies, or popping of the champagne cork to signify the bringing in of the New Year. Whatever the ceremony, when you do it with intention and awareness that ceremony heralds in the energies of your intention in a much more profound manner than when we simply and perfunctorily perform the same act.

2.  Consciousness : Where we put our consciousness, we put our life energy. Find the aspects of your business where you have vacated your consciousness; those “dead zones” that you pretend are not there, or wish weren’t. For some people it could be tax returns that are not completed, old business relationships that went sour and have remaining bitterness, or simply letting go of worrying. Put your consciousness into that energy, with intention, and yes, even ceremony, and notice the MAGIC that happens when you do! Energy flows where attention goes!

3.  Cycles : There is a rhythm to Life, a time for growth, and a time for death. Cycles are important to observe: moon cycles are often used for planting, cutting hair, beginning new projects. Similarly, observing the cycles of the sun of day and night, being more active during the daylight hours, and winding down in the evening when there is less energy available. As well there are the larger seasonal cycles, solstices, equinoxes, and the times in between them (what the Celts called the cross quarter days.) When we are in tune with and align consciously with these cycles of nature, the rhythm of Life, we find more harmony and balance in our lives.

The season of Winter is a natural time to go inside–hibernate in the cave like the bear–reflect, pull our energies inwards, a kind of death to the old, so that we can go forward in the Spring with new energy and enthusiasm unencumbered by the past. Then, beginning on Feb. 1st (Ground Hog’s Day) we enter the cycle between the Winter Equinox and the Spring Equinox, a time traditionally honored by the Celts as the time to plant the seed of the new idea so that it may sprout in the Spring. When we follow these cycles, we harness the Life energy of the planet begin to dance to the same beat of Life. So by paying attention to the cycles of Life, we begin to work with them to receive the gift of their energy.

As these tips demonstrate, we can dramatically clear and shift our energies; providing sanctuary to reflect our highest intentions and dreams (read all 6 Feng Shui Space Clearing Tips).

Make Love to the World with your Strategy

Originally uploaded by ~Mina~

When you speak, plan, and act your business into being you are accessing your highest creative self and then yoking it into reality. Your heart or love center is where it comes together. It could be said that the vision you have of your business comes from a divine source, then you, as an instrument of source, create into the field of business. When you create into the field of business you are in a matrix where lots of people before you, now, and in the future will be creating and playing. Your strategy sets your boundaries of the field and helps you to blissfully play and not get caught within rules and consciousness that are not useful to you. The way to do this is to design your strategy (or plan) from a framework of making love to the world.

Making love to the world in this context is about making love from your heart center, while accessing sexual energy.  Sexual (love) energy is the primal and creative energy of the universe. All things that are alive come from sexual energy. In animals and other life forms, sexual energy expresses itself as biological creativity. All life, all expression, all flowering is basically sex energy. In any situation where we feel attraction, arousal, awakening, alertness, passion, interest, inspiration, excitement, creativity or enthusiasm, in each of these situations, sexual energy is at work.

Whenever we feel these states of awareness, we put it in our attention to create our strategy. It is this sexual energy source, that we then yoke into experience with business transactions and keep alive in our awareness with strategy implementation. This is the act of creating a friendship (or union) with vibrant energy and making love to the world with it; thus elevating the stream of life and the matrix of business to new heights.

Within the matrix of business there are a few general rules to adhere to and play by –anything beyond these general rules have been created by others.  Unless you design your own rules and measures of success, you will be doomed to play by the rules and measures of others. Bliss, carefreeness and playfulness are the essence of sexual energy in its most refined state –maintaining this essence is the number one rule when love is the bottom-line.

6 Strategies for Making More Money in Less Time

Renewable Energy Sculpture in front of Houston Public Library

Originally uploaded by ANVAR – SO BUSY RUSSIANTEXAN ©

Laura West, host of the Joyful Business Blog recently wrote about packaging your services in a way that enhances your energy.  I call this R.O.E. = Return On Energy. I have changed Laura’s post up a tiny bit, but here it is mostly word-for-word –an inspiring read if you don’t want to feel depleted “holding-up” your business…..

One of the most important intentions in your business, even in a passion-based business like yours, is to make a profit. Yes! ~you do want to make money while making the world a better place by contributing your magical gifts. In order to keep contributing and changing the world in your unique way through helping your clients, you need to also be financially successful. Your gift, in the form of products and services, is the seed, your business plan the tree, and financial success a must-have-fruit!

The thing is, this must-have-fruit, should not come with an unjust price of draining your energy in any way, shape, or form –ever. You want to create energy-enhancing business models! There are ways of serving a variety of client needs while serving your need to develop a financially sustainable and flourishing business – all without depleting yourself physically, spiritually and energetically.

One thing you can do is to look at how you can bring your creativity into your pricing and services so that you make more money and give more value with out taking so much of your time that it starts to drain your energy. Here are six ways to create packages for your services, products, experience and knowledge so that you can joyfully serve more clients in less time and make more money doing it!

Strategy #1: Offer Options with Your Time
The idea here is to offer three ways a client can work with you – a small investment option, medium option, and top of the line option. Clients love choice. If you tell them that you have one price or one package, they will often not take it because the question becomes “Do you want this service? Yes or No?” With three options, the clients have a choice. The question becomes “Which one would you like?” This is a totally different question which will lead you to more clients. You’ll also be surprised at how many people will take the top of the line or premium option. This is a great way of stretching into new pricing options that might have been higher than you were used to charging.

Strategy #2: Package Your Process
Potential clients like to know that you have a process. It helps them to know what to expect from you so they can get their arms around the commitment. Most of all, it gives them confidence in you. When you share that you have a process, they trust that you know what you are doing. Funny thing is…they don’t really care about what your process is – they really care about the results for them. They just want to know that you have a system for what they are going through. For example, you may offer a six-hour package where you take them through five steps that will change their life or business. Or you may have a 90-day program or a four-week series. When you package your process, you will get more and better results from your clients as well. It creates a win-win. Your clients get more value and better results – and you get clients with amazing results – which feels great!

Strategy #3: Create Products From Your Process
Have you determined your five-step process? Now is a great time to put it into a workbook, an e-course or create an audio series. Some people may want to just buy the product and apply the principles or tools themselves. You’ll be surprised by how many people will buy the product and still want your help in taking them through the work. They need the accountability and partnership for success!

Strategy #4 Create A Membership Program
You attract people to your services who are at different places in their buying process. Many people want just a taste of what you have to offer. Maybe they are new business owners and aren’t quite ready to invest in an entire package with you, or they are just new to your services and want to experience more before they invest in a full program. Offering a membership program is a way of creating a community of these similar clients and giving them a taste of what you offer. You’ve seen examples of free membership clubs like Starbucks, an Amazon Prime Account, or airline frequent flyer mileage programs. Then there’s the small fee membership club that for $24, $47 or $97 a month they can join your membership club and get access to certain services. For example, you could offer a group teleseminar and then mail the audio CD and transcript to them each month. It’s a great way to get them in a relationship with you and usually once people experience your magic – they are going to want to upgrade and they’ll want more from you.

Strategy #5: Offer a Continuity Program
A continuity program is typically a long-term relationship where clients consistently get to work with you in a variety of ways. It’s often offered over a year. You can package together products, ebooks, audios, teleclasses, transcripts, online forums and even in person retreats to create a program throughout the year.

Strategy #6: Premium Programs or Platinum Style Programs
Look around you and you’ll start to notice how often the word “Platinum” shows up to describe an upscale or premium offering. Delta Airlines and their Platinum program comes to mind for mega flyers. A premium or platinum style program is ideal when you are ready to scale back your hourly work and create a premium program (with a premium price tag) for more one-on-one work, special retreats, or small group coaching. There are some of your clients who are ready for this type of intense work. The greatest reward is that the type of clients who come into this program are usually very committed to their success. Again, it’s creating a win-win program. They get flourish with big results, and you see the impact of your work! Every time a client commits to this type of program with me, just the power of this big commitment within themselves creates a jump in their business, new clients, a big PR opportunity or other major success.

What ideas has this post sparked in you for your business? Pay attention to your inspired energy. That’s where you want to start. Don’t try to do all these ideas at one time. Pick one idea and focus on it for the next 90 days. Clear, focused energy is powerful creation energy! Post in original format
