Are you going for the right bone?

How would you be able to tell if

your business / career / project is forwarding your spiritual ascension, or if it is holding you back in distraction and ego?”

What a great question ☺ For starters the obvious signs of growth would seem to be an increase in energy as you are fueled by spirit (inspired), an increase in the coincidences of your life and a quickening of your ability to manifest.
Signs of holding back/getting stuck in ego would often appear as pressure to fit in, fear of failure (often expressed as perfectionism), over competiveness, and the inability to receive advice/criticism without becoming defensive.
This is a very interesting subject I would like to explore more fully. Thank you Ruby, for this “Opening”

What a great topic Brenda, thank you for instigating this discussion.

In my experience a ‘love project’ inspires you, brings you alive and is fueled by a sense of play and wonder. It is fun, exciting, and is often started from a place of curiosity and not knowing. It’s the ultimate adventure.

The signs that one is operating from ego instead of spirit show up as hard work, stagnation, being more concerned about ‘the money’ than the game itself, pressure, excessive worrying, fear of criticism while at the same time being judgmental of others, lack of pleasure, fun and excitement.

Jonathan Fields just posted a similar question on his blog Awake@TheWheel: http://bit.ly/dw5hMD. You might enjoy his take on it.

Karin – I love the aliveness of your comment 🙂 Thanks for the Jonathan Fields link — I like what I saw on his blog — the question “How do you know when you have arrived at the place where rules no longer bind you / when is it time to jump off the cliff?” is a good one — how do we find the sweet spot of having fun and KNOWING you will make money at it. Maybe when we see our wings?

I agree with the two posts in front of me. I’ve done the struggle, push and force ways of causing things to happen and they just don’t work. When there is alignment between my greatest desire to there is ease in operation, then there is a connection with the benevolent universe and grace, ease and love are in alignment. If I love it and others love it then there is a universal fit. It doesn’t take much time to figure out if it is coming out of love or if the ego is in the drivers seat. Thank you again for a great post.
